Hand-Picked for you!!!

It's another Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge and I just love how this card went from my head to my hands to the finished design!

Here is the sketch:
 And here is my card!

I took it at an angle so the light would catch my little jar! Lots of goodies used here but having the right tools makes the assembly go soooooo fast with a great outcome! The little jar is from MyCreativeTime Stitched Chunky Jar Dies. The flying banner is from MyCreativeTime Fly away with Me Sentiments (with Coordinating dies). The daisies are from MyCreativeTime Stitched Daisy Die. And the cutie patootie faces that make this card so special are from Peachy Keen Stamps Sweet and Silly Faces! Trying my hand at CAS (clean and simple). So hard not to add ribbon, bling, jewels or embellishment of any kind. I just love the clean look of the white on white. Embossing the background did make it look dimensional. The daisies are 3 layers each and only glued in the middle so the petals stick up and look realistic..

Hello Little Man

The baby shower for our next grandson is next weekend and my sewing machine, die cut machines and fingers have been busy busy busy!!! I have made blankets, bibs, hats, onesies, diaper covers and wall décor.

Here...Billionaire meets Mini Monograms for a banner at the shower. I cut the ties at 6" and the medallions from Mini Monograms at 2". I wanted to letter to pop so the letters are actually 3 layers. 1 layer of the blue, 1 layer of black and then the letter cut in aqua.

Bloom

As luck would have it...a patient ran overtime and I was asked if I wanted to shorten my lunch and leave a half hour early! Don't have to ask me twice and knew just what I would do!!! Run home and finish my card for the Peachy Keen Color Challenge. I chose another Tulip! This one is from Freshly Picked. The background is from Pretty Pennants and the cute face is stamped with Peachy Keen Wide Eyed Kids! Phew! Even got a little pen stitching in there. So with 3 hours and 37 minutes to spare...here is my entry! Now I think my husband would appreciate dinner. LOL

Brightening up the office where I work

good Morning! Today I am the featured designer over at BugBytes. Drop over and give a shout out!
Everytime we needed to have our patients sign a credit card slip, we gave them a pad of post it notes to put under the slip. Real classy! So the Dr bought a mini clipboard. PERFECT! But plain and ugly. She asked me to class it up a bit with my creativity. Our office colors are shades of purples, lavenders, pinks and olive and celery green. I couldn't just stop with the clipboard...I had to make a matching pen! The swirls are from Cricut Cartridge Sophisticated in a glossy black cardstock. I found these beautiful silk flowers at the Dollar Store and got several to use for stuff around the office. The ribbons on the top are a mix of raffia, sheer ribbons, grosgrain ribbons and satin ribbons.

I couldn't stop there. We have deep tissue massages and the current packages save you $12.50. I suggested that we have buy 5 get 6 and that we could sell more since that saves $50. With Mothers Day coming up it would be a nice gift! The Peacock is from Cricut Cartridge Art Nouveau. The flowers and the butterflies are from MyCreativeTime Flower Petal Dies and Chunky Jar Accessories. The Black letters are from Chip Décor, the word Massage is from Sophisticated and the pink letters are from Nates' ABCs. I liked the way the peacock coordinated with the peacock tail printed paper. Here is my poster advertising this:

Quick and fun birthday gift

We attended a birthday party for one of our nephews that turned 2. I figured there would be tons of clothes and toys for gifts. When I saw this cute little froggy beach chair, I grabbed it. I got some oversized beach shovels and put his name on it in vinyl. I added a hardboard book called A day at the Beach and tada...great gift!!! IT was a hit. I didn't even use wrap! I added balloons and curly ribbon. It went perfect with the beach card I showed last week!

Tulips Tulips Tulips

Yes I have Tulips on the brain 24/7!!! Hello my friends. Today I am the featured Designer over at Action Wobbles and I realized I hadn't done any Tulip cards, Tulip  tags or 3D Tulip Projects this year yet! Well...here you go...

I used Cricut Cartridge Art Nouveau and cut one of my favorite cuts. The ivory background cut is from Pretty Pennants. Not just for pennants you see!

I inked the edges of the flowers and stems and my fingernails! I love the look that peach and lavender have when you use them together. Add some ivory and this is such a soft and beautiful look.

Have you gotten your Action Wobbles yet? You can order them HERE!

I Mustache you a Question

I love this card!!! It matches a sweater I got recently that says I heart Mustaches! Good thing 'cause my hubby of almost 34 years...sports a big 'stache!!

I used white and pink cardstock and embossed the white with Cuttlebug Geometric Rings. In the center of each ring I adhered a little pink acrylic gem. The mustache stamp is from Kay Andrews Designs Mustache Fun. The sheer pink ribbon is fro my stash.

Oh Brother

Getting a jump on the card making as one of my brothers celebrates his birthday next month. This card is cut using Cricut Cartridge Birthday Bash. The sentiment was created using MyCreativeTime Dies Lower Case Dies and the eyes on the cute gator were stamped with PeachyKeen ABC Animal Faces. I think they were for a fish but they were perfect for the gator! No masking needed. The balloons are accented with Twine from the Twinery. And the little red rhinestone cheek is from my stash.

Tag Challenge

Here a Birthday Tag made with assorted scraps in colors I love! Some homemade paper, some crunched up paper, a scrap of trim, a pretty button and some chunky glitter. Topped off with lots of beautiful sheer ribbons. Made this for a Tag Challenge and now I cannot locate the BLOG to enter it!! Oh my goodness I have to write these things down!!!

Hooray! It's Your Birthday

Something different. My friend Cassandra is hosting the April Challenge #2 over at PeachyKeenConnection. It is her birthday month and she chose the theme BIRTHDAYS!! For this card, I cut the Octopus and the balloon bouquet from Cricut Cartridge Birthday Bash. The clouds are a MyCreativeTime Die from Fly Away with Me. The sentiment is from MyCreativeTime Celebrate Good Times. The adorable smiling face is stamped with PeachKeen Dolly Dumplins at 1 3/8". I accented the face with a white Gelly Roll Pen and some peach chalk. For the background, I tore some paper to look like the beach with sand, ocean with white caps and sky. The balloons are accented with the last of my Glossy Accents. I am going to need to go get some tomorrow since I use it all the time! Then I can add some to the edges of these balloons and the eyes! I can't believe I ran out! The Happy Birthday ribbon and narrow satin ribbon for the bows are from my enormous ribbon stash. We are going to our great nephews 2nd birthday party next weekend and I think this card will be super cute.

Hello Spring!

Over at PeachyKeen the Challenge is Spring with a Rainy Day Theme! My rainboots are pink with white polka dots but I thought these bright cheery colors would work well together. The rainboots are cut from Cricut Cartridge Nates' ABCs and the little daisies are from good old George! I had him out for my other project and it was the perfect little daisy. The Sentiment Hello Spring is stamped from MyCreativeTime Hello Spring Set! The cute little faces are stamped from PeachyKeen Just Baby Faces. Enjoy!!!

Fluttering over the Rainbow to say Hello

Pinterest Insipred...here is a colorful card for the Rainbow Challenge my dear friend Cassandra has going on over at MyCreativeTime this week. I love the look of rainbow colors. Always makes me smile. This card looks way more complicated than it is! First I gathered some scraps of cardstock in a rainbow of colors. I used my original Cricut Cartridge George (that is over 7 years old and never gave me wonky circles!!) and cut squares at 1 1/2" and circles at 1". I just didn't feel like punching them all and this went super fast!! After I adhered the squared onto white cardstock, I embossed the whole thing. The circles cut in white lent a nice break up to the colors and I mounted the finished piece onto some black cardstock. The butterflies were cut from the same array of colored cardstock using MyCreativeTime Chunky Jar Accessories. The Hello Sentiment and the little label are also from the same set!! I thought less is more on this one as I tried adding twine, buttons, ribbon or bling and it all seemed too much. It felt so good to create!! My treat to myself after weeding a whole flower bed! Yuck I hate weeding.
